Manabi Straight! Episode2 Student Council Haven!

 
Yup, better believe it, thats Manabi, she’s so eager about being the SC President, a misconception of having a style is shown in such  cuteness in her own cute way  (word “cute” will be overuse thru out this blog)
The 1st Episode was so full of Cuteness I just had to have more of  my usual dosage of Manabi Kawaii-Goodness and Episode 2 didn’t dissappoint  me, there’s also the premier of the Opening theme. Anyway where the 1st episode left offwe were captivated by Manabi’s cute angelic voice singing the School song that won her the Student Council Presidency which fade way to that wholesome pic. The morning starts with Manabi riding her hover-scooter to school while on her way she sees Mei on the bus, feeling all pumped up she waves and greets Mei


knowing Mei responding to greeting in public, she bows her head and blushes away, we are starting to have an idea on her personality now. again cute , also on this scene we got a glimpse of the Super PDA up close, apparently Manabi is on the news or something. On the school ground Manabi encounters Mikan walking half-asleep, so she  greets her about how lovely the day is  then finishes with the slogan “Massugu! GO!” although

s seen here Manabi was expecting Mikan to do the same pose and failed to deliver which led to this cute  crying puppy eyes look  
now you dont want to see Manabi cry do you?, again cute. Moving along we see Momo-chan having trouble on what to write on her next article then sees Manabi and the gang namely the Student Council that gave the idea and question  what will happen to them now that Manabi is President. During the class  Manabi sends an e-mail to Mikan talking about how excited she is on cleaning the SC room. as soon as the homeroom period ends The 2 rushes outside to go do the cleaning.

   
which left Mei wondering whats going on with the 2 girls, Mucchi knowing the reason tells her that the Aikoh Academy SC president is coming for a courtesy visit. In here we also see Mucchi teasing Mei  if she would like to take a look and check on those two before she goes home. that pissed off Mei and told her to get off her case. Oh, I just noticed ,we all know that Mei is voiced by Aya Hirano ( who did Haruhi Suzumiya), what a coincidence that Mei also seats at the back end of the class just like Haruhi . anyway just my observation. I like to compare everything about Aya Hirano characters.

As for the two Student Council officers, cleaning wasnt going very well.

 If you’ve been cleaning for hours and you’ve manage to make a pile of paper and then jump on it, you know things aren’t going well as far as cleaning is concern. Just like Mucchi suggested it ,she came to check how the two are doing, only to find the two slacking off.


Mucchi found the situation amusing while laughing at their expense, which resulted in Mucchi getting the angry look from the girls, see the pout lips cute aint it. As for getting even she volunteered to help them both, but in the end she too was drawn to slacking off. Out in the school ground we notice Mei looking up at the building and to the only lit room which is the Student councils’. As Mucchi was about to go out to buy drinks she bumps into Mei who was also about to check up on the girls, feeling awkward she made up an excuse that she just wanted cool off at the roof where the SC room is located near. not buying the excuse Mucchi drags Mei by the arms and into the room. Now this time Mei gave them an advice on how to clean up the room.

 She suggested to be able to clean the room fast, they need an order or plan, in other words being organize, and sort everything. Mei even used the words Delete for removing useless objects. and then points on Mikan’s new found stuff toy as an example.


 After pointing out the stuff toy Mikan gave the cute crying eyes. Aaaahh she’s too cute! they were about to begin when they noticed that its already running late so they decided to do it tomorrow, now Manabi suggested they eat out, with the discussion battle over whether to get Mac/Mc or Ramen. Mei felt out of place and was about to leave.

suddenly Manabi grabs Mei’s hands and asked her directly if she wants Ramen or Mac. Seeing Mei stumble for words and blushing at the same time was priceless, but in the end stubborness got the best of her and she left in a hurry saying she got something else to do. The Next day the cleaning finally commence, following on Mei’s advice and practically leading them on and giving out orders they finally got it done, when all is finished, Mei was wondering why a few boxes wasnt thrown out. it seems Manabi had another plan for the remaining reuseable stuff. A garage sale.

With the success of the sale, Not a closing sale, Mikan even protest on Mucchi remarks saying that The SC is not closing. And so earning enough money Manabi suggested than instead of buying minor things for the SC room, what was needed was to do something bigger. which is

A Renovation, a total make-over, SC room edition.

With a new goal, the gang now heads out to buy things needed for the renovation of the Student Council Room. Ok It’s the gang doing something together, cue the School song on the background. nice.

As Manabi and the gang are busy renovating , painting the walls and doors, fixing things, we finally see Momo-chan making a special report about the Student Council. and the theme of the SC room is a Cafe. with the question why, Momo-chan asks Manabi.

Manabi bewildered then takes a look at her friends looking for answer, with deep thought she answered  “A haven”, where all those who the love Seioh Academy can hangout and talk about the how they love the school, and it doesnt matter if they’re not a  member of the Student Council, everyone is welcomed. With the report being broadcast live throughout the school , it finally reach those who are still hesitant to help the SC even the one club Mucchi was having a hard time  trying to convince to help on the interior design.

with the help of the broadcast, almost all school clubs now tried to share and aid some help needed, now overwhelmed , the scene now continues with screenshots of all different clubs doing their part to help in the renovation of The Student Council room,

As the ending credits are rolling we are now seeing the new Student Council Room, hmm overall impression of the room screams MOE!! The episode now ends with the Aikoh Academy SC president finally arriving and after a brief introduction ,

she saw something that shocked her, I’m guessing the room. anyway  find out on Episode 3.
